Dispute Resolution

The insurance claim process can be complex, and there are many stages of a claim in which things can go wrong. Whether the dispute relates to response timeframes, differences in scopes of works, or whether your insurer is trying to deny parts of your claim due to exclusions or wear & tear, we will ensure that your rights are protected at every step.

Claims Preparation And Management

Whilst a good insurer will provide you with experts throughout the different stages of your claim, many people wonder how ‘impartial’ a service provider can really be if they are engaged and paid by the insurance company. Will they really look out for your needs first and foremost, or only when your needs align with the insurer’s needs?

At Solve My Claim, we do not provide services for insurance companies, so we have no potential conflict of interest – we only work for YOU, and we will always look out for your interests above all else. 

Many of our clients, having engaged Solve My Claim to resolve a claim dispute, get us involved in all future claims from the very first moment as they know firsthand the power of having an expert who is genuinely, and solely, on their side. It is best to have the right expert on your side before a dispute arises. 

Many commercial, rural, or broker-based insurance policies provide coverage for “claim preparation costs”, which means that your policy will cover the cost of engaging a suitably qualified claims professional (known as a claim preparer) to assist you through the process of lodging and managing your claim. Solve My Claim’s team of claims experts can provide claim preparation services for you, and you can be sure that we will always act solely in your interests to ensure you receive everything to which you are entitled under your insurance contract.

Consumer Advocacy

Have you ever felt that your insurance company is not listening to you? That no matter how many valid points you raise, the insurer simply ignores you and proceeds with their own plans anyway? 

Many of our clients have told us how empowering it is to have an advocate to speak for them and to challenge the insurance company and its service providers throughout the claim process when they refuse to listen. 

We have the same expertise as your insurer, having spent many years managing and assessing claims for major insurers prior to stepping into the role of claims advocate. We are acutely aware of every step of the claim process and can ensure that your rights are fully protected, whilst also having the language and knowledge to demonstrate to your insurer the reasons that your claim should be paid based on the terms of your insurance contract. 

Insurance companies are obligated to provide you with both an internal dispute resolution (IDR) service and an external dispute resolution service (AFCA – Australian Financial Complaints Authority), and we have a strong track record at advocating for our clients with both services, with significant success.

Loss Adjusting/ Claims Assessing

Having many years of loss adjusting and assessing experience, we are well placed to provide adjusting or assessing services for your claim too.

When an adjuster or an assessor is appointed by and paid for by an insurance company, they have an ethical obligation to look after the interests of the insurance company first and foremost. This creates an inherent conflict of interest and in our view is one of the big challenges of the insurance claims process in its current form. 

You may not require dispute resolution or advocacy services, but merely want an expert assessor or adjuster who is genuinely independent and has no obligation to look after your insurance company’s interests, to inspect and report on your damaged property or your business claim.
